Nick Carraway: An Unreliable Narrator

The story of The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald is about a man, named Nick Carraway, who moved to Long Island’s North Shore to work as a government corporate-bond trader at Wall Street. He is the neighbor of a very wealthy and popular man, named Jay Gatsby—who is deeply and hopelessly in love with Nick’s second cousin, Daisy. However, Daisy is already married and has a family with Tom Buchanan—a famous polo player. The novel is simply a love story; it is a story of a hopeless romantic in love with a woman whom he will never have again. With the lack of morality and unrestrained materialism of the people around him, Nick had witnessed the gift of hope of Jay Gatsby and the evils within New York City.

The whole story is narrated by Nick Carraway, who had close experiences with both Gatsby and Daisy. Everything in the story is only the collection of Nick Carraway’s perception on various issues, his opinions of them, and the thoughts he had racing during the experience. Looking at the way Nick narrated the story, it can be ascertained that Nick Carraway is biased to Gatsby throughout the story, in such a way that the accounts are very much one-sided as opposed to it being an impartial reminiscence of his past.

15 Reasons Why “Spring Breakers” Disappointed Me

Four best friends—Brit (Ashley Benson), Candy (Vanessa Hudgens), Cotty (Rachel Korine), and Faith (Selena Gomez)—living in one boring college dorm wanted to get away and have fun in Florida on their Spring break. Because of their hunger for fun and adventure, 3 of the girls (Brit, Candy, and Cotty) decided to rob a diner to get some money for their getaway. Faith was excluded from the crime because she’s suppose to be the “good girl” in the group.

They went to Florida to party, get drunk, get laid, and get high. The place where they always party got raided, and they were taken away to jail.

They got bailed by a gangster who took them and made them his so-called “Charlies Angels”—only they rob and kill people. Faith again, was not part of it because she’s suppose to be the “good girl” in the story. In the last part of they movie, Alien (James Franco), Cotty, and Candy, killed Aliens best friend because he shot Brit on the shoulders. Alien got shot in the head, but the two girls continued their mission.

Artisteer4 For Easy Blog Designing

In the past few days, I’ve been busy working on my blog’s template. It took me 3 days to get the template that I wanted. Although with the program that I’m using, it will only take you a day to finish a layout.

I chose not to be like the other blogs that look elegant and fancy so I made mine colorful and cute. I really want my blog to look lively and full of colors.
I’m really happy of how it turned out to be because it’s my own work, and I worked hard for it. It may not be the best looking template, but I’m really proud of this one.

So this is how mine turned out to be. Like it?
